Cloudflare's authoritative DNS service with a web dashboard and API, often used together with its proxy and SSL.
Cloudflare DNS is the authoritative DNS service from Cloudflare. You point a domain's name servers at Cloudflare and manage records in its dashboard, through its API or with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform. Records can be proxied through the Cloudflare network, which adds caching, TLS and security features in front of the server, or left as DNS only.
A free plan covers basic DNS for many sites, and paid plans add features for larger businesses. Hosts and agencies use the API to create records automatically for new customers. Before you move a busy zone, export and compare the existing records, lower TTLs in advance, check how proxied records change the IP addresses visitors see, and keep mail records unproxied.
